At the end of the day, the most important thing to keep in mind when it comes to your investments is to know why you’re investing. Listen in to today’s talk all about getting your investments on the right track.
Today we are talking with mortgage expert Moises Zack about all things mortgages: from why you need a mortgage broker in Israel to refinancing. With the influx of aliyah applicants this year, this is a conversation you do not want to miss.
A conversation originally broadcasted on Facebook Live on the subject of elder fraud and investment schemes. Mirit Hoffman invited both myself and Alex Gaft to hear our take on the subject.
Today I’m speaking about Aliyah, or rather immigration to Israel. Even though Corona has put a damper on the actual number of people moving to Israel, the interest and applications coming through to make the Aliyah have multiplied dramatically over the past year. Practically speaking, what do you need to know financially before you make the big move?
There are true hardships that people are going through right now, there is no denying that. But if we remove the mask to reveal the true story behind our finances, we can discover the true issue is prioritization. It’s time to take off the mask and make sure your priorities and your long-term financial plan are in place.
For all of you Hebrew speakers in my audience, listen in on this interesting conversation I had last night with Mirit Hoffman and Alex Gaft about online safety and fraud prevention.
Today we are talking about a big issue that not only impacts American Olim living in Israel, but all Americans living abroad. Do you invest locally? If so you should be careful as you may be investing in a PFIC. What is a PFIC and what are the tax ramifications for investing in them? Also, make sure to watch this whole episode of The Aaron Katsman Show for our expert recommendations and best practices when it comes to investing as an expat.
Getting rich quick is not a realistic goal. I believe that it is important to reinforce this concept, especially in light of the attention GameStop has been getting. The best way to get rich is to save, research the investments that are good for you, and invest.
No matter what is going on in the world or on the news I am here to remind you that ultimately you are the one that can be held responsible for your finances. Let me tell you what you can do about it.
Joshua made Aliyah to Israel in 2009, from South Africa. He noticed the extremely important value that everyone should have a portion of their wealth in physical gold, especially after the 2008 financial crisis and came to understand that in Israel it is impossible to own physical gold in Israel for investment because there is 17% VAT taxes on Gold and Silver, as well as 25% Capital Gains. Between 2012 – 2015 they fought with the Tax Authorities in Israel to recognize gold as a financial asset and came to a mutual agreement that gold is a “financial product”, and were given permission to sell Gold and Silver for investment under the laws of Eilat trade free zone… tax-free. So during 2015 he quit his job and moved to Eilat and opened iGold. Until today they offer private investors access to physical gold and silver bullion for investment tax-free (so Israel is now on the same level as the rest of the world). Investors and private individuals can own gold and silver, real money, real wealth.
